◯ Akwaline's Oceans ◯ Name: Tibua Gender: Female Age: 19 Habitat: Sunlight Zone Role: Wandering Merchant Magic Wand: NNnnnnope Stats Strength: 5/10 Speed: 9/10 Intelligence: 6/10 Magic: 0/10 Personality: As smug and confident as a shark who's taken the whole ocean for its territory on a daily basis. She's flirty with about every akwaline she meets around her age and usually pretty reckless in most situations, whether it be diving into the shipwreck alone or talking casually to a akwaline in the highest position. She gambles with her life a lot, never considering the consequences, only the prize. The akwaline doesn't worry about too much else other than having fun with her life. Backstory: She grew up on the outskirts of the sunlight zone with her two sisters and parents. Her parents mainly focused on her younger sister, Ballena. Ballena was extremely talented in magic, as was her mother and father. So the two spent a lot of their time teaching her younger sibling. Tibua's older sister, Harika, wasn't around often. Usually out hunting with her friends, only really home in the morning and at night. She never let Tibua come with her, but she quietly followed her all the way to her friends hunting spot anyways. Harika's friends weren't exactly the best akwalines. They stole from others and scammed them with fake treasures. She learned a lot from them, to the guilt of her older sister. Those friends seemed to only accept those who were confident and daring, which was what Tibua forced herself to be. She would dive into the shipwreck and grab treasure, distract sharks and swim right up to an awkwaline and lie to their face. It got her positive attention, so there was no profit in her mind to being any other way. As she grew older her parents never really changed in where they gave her attention, though Tibua told herself she didn't care, there was still jealously built up for many years. Her parents gave her a magic test of her own, which she failed. They managed to avoid her having an official one, due to fear their daughter would be outcast. She would try to impress her parents by catching a very quick or large fish. They would congratulate her but it never felt like enough. Attention was her life source, and not getting it made her spite her sister to do something like herself. Reckless and not thought out. Ballena trusted her, more than Tibua could possibly understand why. Her younger sibling would vent to her, complaining about how much attention her parents gave her and how much she just wanted one minute to go do something alone and nothing to do with magic. It caused a bit of spite. Alright, a lot. Tibua one day told her sister to go out near The Abyss, because her crush, Asassino, was waiting for her there. In her mind, her sister would return the next day and she would get the whole day to simply get any attention from her parents. But it turns out the only interest they had in her was to ask where her sister was. But after awhile, even Tibua started to wonder that. Then despite herself, the next morning when there was no Ballena she started to feel a prick of guilt. At this point her family guessed something was wrong and started searching for her. Tibua didn't feel guilty much, so when this happened she had no clue how to deal with it. So she did what she usually did when she was upset, leave. But she didn't come back. She was 17 and old enough to find her own place anyways. The first few months alone, she searched for her sister. Asking anyone if they had seen a black and white akwaline around the age of 15. The answer was always a few days ago at first, then a few months ago. She never gave up, but stopped asking as often. Tibua figured she should simply put the past behind her as much as she could. She put the trading skills (which still involved a lot of scamming and lying) to use, gathering rocks and making up stories about how they were special. To her joy, she got a lot of business from other loners and wanderers like herself. It's what she does to this day, only occasionaly dropping the question of her sister. She considered going to the dark zone herself one day, or checking home to consider if her sister had returned, but she enjoyed the new life of adventure and being content. So she never went back, just continued her life with a small prick of guilt that never left.
@dragongirl59 for the awesomely made roleplay! You did a good job! Sorry her backstory is pretty long and probably not that original, but it was the first thing I thought of and seemed to go together pretty well. At least for now it does. I'll probably look back at it later and facepalm but I hope she's deemed acceptable!
