POWERS (^) I'm sure you know what powers are, but some people don't, especially little ones. Anything before the ^ is the beginning number, e.g. 10^, the number starts with 10. Anything after the ^ is it's power (how many …^ is timed by ^...) To put the brackets in perspective, 2^5 is 2x2x2x2x2 Sometimes easily mistaken with E+. I will explain E+ below. Let's call it "e" for easier use. E+ (not in this animation.) e is mistaken with powers often, so I will explain e. Basically, e is a function to add a certain amount of zeros to a number. 10e100 (aka googol) is 1 TETRATION (^^) Tetration can be used for shortening multiple powers. Instead of 5^5^5^5 (2.35098871E87 if you are wondering what that value is) I can do 5^^4. FACTORIALS (!) Factorials are used for big, big, big numbers. 10! would mean 10x9x8x7x6x5x4x3x2x1, which is 3628800. Faxul (or 200!) would be 200x199x198 … x3x2x1, which would be extremely big! (7.88657867E374) Double Factorial (!!) is a factorial's factorial. Triple Factorial (!!!) is a factorial's factorial's factorial, and so on.
