Vote for @Griffpatch or @Will_Wam! To Vote, Click of the picture of the Scratcher you want to vote for! :D Okay, I've updated it to hopefully be functional again and to make the viewing experience a lot better than it was before. Please let me know what you think. I don't think it's going to work until bugs with cloud variables are fixed: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/889812871 Comment if and what you want me to pole next! Will only work if you are a "Scratcher". "New Scratcher" Won't work. :| If you want to, Comment who you vote for. Be sure to check out my other projects! Also, how did this get so popular??
Cloud variables! How did this get so popular? 1k Will_Wam votes! Wow! I seriously do not understand why this is so popular. It's not a good project, it has never been one, and yet it's still getting multiple loves/favorites per day. I suppose quality rarely affects the popularity of an already-popular project. This is apparent with generic platformers and that there always seems to be one in the "What the Community is Loving" tab on the front page. I'm guessing a lot of the views are coming from the fact that this project is on the first page of search results if you search "Will_Wam" and on the second page for "griffpatch". How it got there I do not know, but it is rare that interaction on projects stop once the project becomes popular, so while I would prefer it if you check out some of my recent projects (ones that took months to create) instead of this, algorithms behind search results can be weird, and interacting with this project will likely boost it and thus make it more popular than it was before. Sidenote, I've had a suspicion that cloud variables might be broken, and thus voting doesn't actually affect anything. To test this, I'm going to write down the number of votes every time I revisit this project (which will likely be daily because I'm confused at the popularity) and we will see how it goes. If it goes for a couple days without this changing, there's likely some problem somewhere. The cloudmonitor page doesn't load for me, so I suspect there may be some problem. Update: Appears cloud variables are working, and the cloudmonitor webpage is just broken. I'll continue writing down the vote amounts, since it could make a cool graph in the future. So it looks like for some reason the griffpatch votes jump down occasionally. I have no idea why this happens, my best guess would be some issue with cloud server data caching, but I have no evidence for that. It would be the same thing that's discussed in the Tom Scott video Why Computers Can't Count Sometimes. It'd be interesting to graph this sometime in the future when there's a lot more data. omg they fixed the cloud variables maybe this project will actually work properly now lol ======================== 1,500 favorites :0 1,500 loves, insane. 1660 favorites (sunglasses emoji) I got a simple question, why does this have 2,000 loves? someone vote we need to get to a power of 2 nvm we passed it Also try: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/266990093/ also, the cloud variables should work now lol, after not working for almost 2 years :\ Reloading should not work anymore, so let me know if that is the case (It does appear to be the case.)
