Name: Ivy Gender: Female Personality: Scared, Upset, Caring, Loving Backstory: My feet raced through the bushes. They pounded on the ground as hard and fast as my heart was beating. I had to get away from the scientists! I suddenly caught a glimpse of a pine tree marking the ThunderClan border. I thought quickly. Should I race in to check if Greenfoot had dumped Foxtail by now? He'd cheated on me, because I was a funny-looking rogue. I quickly decided to check.I darted through the dense green forest. I swiftly avoided trees like a hummingbird. Then I hopped through the thorn barrier into the ThunderClan camp. The walls were smooth and hard. Just as I remembered. Nothing could climb up those walls. I spotted Foxtail walking around the camp tiredly, with Greenfoot closely guarding her. His fur brushed hers gently. Foxtail suddenly hissed. Greenfoot jumped back, but soon walked back up, just not as close. I studied Foxtail for a moment. Then tears trickled down my face. I had spotted what I was worried about. Her belly was swollen as big as a watermelon. She was expecting. I angrily scraped the dusty ground. I let out a furious yelp. Foxtail lifted her head as I was turning around. "Ivy! You're back!" she said softly. Then she glanced at my face. She stared at Greenfoot. "Oh." she sighed. She tilted her head down guiltily. I hated that she-cat. I hated her so much! She seemed nice and all, but she had stolen Greenfoot from me! She was a devil! Deep inside, I knew she had nothing to do with it. It was Greenfoot that broke my heart. I started to run up the thorn barrier. "Ivy! Wait! Let me explain!" Foxtail shouted. I didn't care. I stumbled a few steps, then regained balance. I looked around, trying to figure out where to go. Then I saw them. The scientists. They were rushing after me. I had no place to go accept the ThunderClan camp. I panted as I raced down the spiky barrier. Foxtail smiled slightly when she saw me coming. We had been good friends. Once..... "Hide! The scientists, er, twolegs are coming!" I shouted, remembering to correct my grammar to the forest style. Foxtail looked at me with a goofy look on her face. "Ivy, you crazy cat! You're just as I remember! You still play jokes on us!" Foxtail giggled. I glimpsed around. The scientists were rushing through the barrier. I scooted over to the walls. Greenfoot was tapping like crazy on Foxtail's shoulder. "Um, Foxtail." Foxtail didn't listen. "Such a crazy joke, Ivy!" "FOXTAIL!!" Greenfoot shouted. I darted into a crevice and watched. Greenfoot was scrambling into a den quickly. I think it was the nursery. Foxtail gave me a last look, and looked up. "No Foxtail!" I screamed. Greenfoot had a frightened look on his face. The scientists had surrounded Foxtail. She hissed, and scooted back. She tried to use her battle skills. Double flip. scratch from behind. Kick. Under and hit the crotch. Nose scratch. Poor Foxtail. She couldn't reach it at all. The scientists didn't even seem to notice the moves that actually hit them. Greenfoot was rushing out and jumped onto one's head. He started scratching wildly. The scientists must have had defenses on, because they just stood there, reaching to grab Foxtail. Greenfoot realized it was no use. He scrambled down, and murmured something. He shrieked for a moment. Then Foxtail said something softly, and gave in. She lie limp for a moment, and they grabbed her faster than you could say 'mouse'. They swiftly raced out, with Foxtail dangling over their shoulders. Tears were streaming down her red face. Greenfoot stared until she was gone. I panted, and jumped out of the crevice. Greenfoot collapsed. I padded silently over to him. "Greenfoot, I'm so sorry. Really. I wanted her to be gone, because I was jealous, but, never this horribly!" I said. I burst into tears. Other cats were cautiously walked out of the dens. Greenfoot glanced up at me. He looked straight in my eyes. I saw great sadness. I also saw anger. It suddenly turned into fire. I was seeing fire in his eyes! I was horrified. There was no fire behind me, yet his eyes were fire!!! He jumped to his feet in one move. He started circling me. His paws sent grey dust flying into my eyes. Then he hissed. The leader, Goldenstar, was walking, horrified by what had happened, out of her den. She glanced at what was happening. Greenfoot crept closer. I stepped back slowly. He inched up, until his grey body was towering over me. His fire eyes stared down on me. He swiped my face. I jumped back and yelped. Goldenstar started racing down the rocks. Greenfoot jumped and landed on me. He raked my back. I turned over and scratched his belly. I felt the warm blood streaming out of him, and my back. A few months ago, we, well, I would've never thought that this would ever happen. I scratched straight down his muzzle. He yelped in pain. "It's not my fault." I hissed. Goldenstar was racing towards us. She broke between us. "Stop! Greenfoot, it wasn't her fault. I'm sure she didn't mean to lead the twolegs to us. You're acting like a stupid kit! Go to Specklepelt. NOW!" she hissed. Greenfoot shook his head. He lowered his head guiltily. Then he raced off to some rocks and disappeared swiftly under them. Goldenstar's head swerved to face me. "As I said, it wasn't your fault, but I think you've caused enough trouble in ThunderClan. You've already attacked Foxtail and Greenfoot before! You tried to steal our herbs! You may never return to ThunderClan!" Goldenstar hissed at me. I thought back to when I found out Greenfoot had cheated on me. I had torn up herbs while trying to find deathberries to feed him. Well, yew berries for me. The next day, when I hadn't found any berries, I had attacked them both. I stared at Goldenstar, horrified. "I, I wasn't trying to lead Foxtail into danger!" I yelped. Goldenstar looked at me, with sorrow in her eyes. "I know." Greenfoot raced out of the rocks. He had cobwebs on his cuts. He glared angrily at me. "She should die, like Foxtail did!" he shrieked. I stared at him. This cat was insane!!! Goldenstar stared at him. "You have apprentice duties for two moons!" Goldenstar looked him hard in the eyes. "Foxtail didn't die. She was stolen. Nobody is going to die. Ivy, leave, before you're not safe anymore." I gave one last look to the camp, then I ran out with tears flying down my face. I raced as fast as my feet would carry me away. Name: Neon Gender: Female Personality: Loud, Outgoing, Bright, Fun, Awesome, Adventurous, Strong Backstory: (It's been about a year and a half. Ivy went to the city and found powers to glow. She changed her life. She is very popular in the city, and changed her name to Neon. She's practically a different cat. Though, she doesn't really like to help those unless they help her too.) I raced through the alley. Frost was right behind me. My feet pounded on the hard black gravel. I had to win this race! If I didn't, I'd not be the alley's fastest runner! My heart pounded. The finish line was nearing closer every second. I felt the breeze whistle through my shiny black fur. My necklace glowed a bright neon green in the darkness of night. I put on an extra burst of speed, and raced across the finish line. Frost was about a second behind me. "That was easy! You better improve if you want to beat me!" I said cheerfully. I enjoyed this life. I was so fast! I padded back through the race course to the open street. Cars were swerving through. I sat down. This was the life. I saw Frost padding up next to me. He sat his pure white self down next to me. "Hey Neon! You did awesome! I wish I could be like you!" he said. I snickered. He ment well, but he said that every day! We were best friends. Though, when it came to the racing, he pretended to be any other competitor. "You stupid furball! You say that every day!" I scooted closer. "Do you want to run to my building?" I asked. He perked up. "Sure!" I jumped to my paws. Frost slowly got up. "Ready, set, go!" I shouted. I raced with a jerk. My building was a few blocks if you walked on the sidewalk. I raced, dodging the lights. Some humans scooted to let us through. Frost was bursting with speed. I saw him panting. He still had to improve alot. I wasn't even trying! I pushed with all my might. I moved ahead of him. He got farther and farther away from me. Soon, I couldn't see him! I was enjoying this run. The beautiful lights of the city shined down on me. The wind whistled, and the cars honked and made wonderful music. I came to a halt. I was at the building. I started grooming my silky fur. Another race had been won. Another with Frost. You know, I think I'm getting to like that Frost! He's much better than Greenfoot! He'd never cheat on me, ever, or want to kill me. Frost was coming into view. He was panting and heaving. I felt guilty. I had left poor Frost in the dust back there! Frost came to a stop. He was panting like a slobbery dog. "I'm sorry, Frost!" I said softly. Frost shrugged. "It's ok. I need to improve." he sighed. We were silent for a moment, and then a voice broke the silence. "Hey, Ivy!" a voice said. I was confused. What was calling my old name? I turned to where the voice was coming from. There was a tiny kitten, racing towards me. He or she had grey fur and a red tail. The kitten stopped. "My name is Wolf. I come from the labs. My mother, Foxtail sent me to you. She wants your help!" Wolf said. I stared at him. "Tell your mother I'll help you and your siblings, but I'm not helping her! I was threatened to death because of her stupidity!" I shrieked. Wolf shrinked down. "Well, I guess I'll show you where my siblings are. Can you run fast?" he asked. "You bet! I could carry you on my back. Frost, are you ready to run as fast as I can possibly do it?" I exclaimed. Frost stared at me. "Sure!" I ran as fast as I could. Frost was surprisingly fast this time. I pounded fast on my four paws. We finally made it into the lab. "Here are the cat labs." Wolf said. We were in a huge black room filled with odd-looking cats. "Foxtail has been bred over and over with these horrid rogues!" he exclaimed. I nodded. I looked to one corner of the room. It was filled with part red cats. None looked too different. "I'll get the latch. You didn't need to get me to do the latches. You could've done it yourself, or gotten any other random cat off the street!" I protested. Wolf stared at me. He shrugged. "Mother wanted to talk to you." I stared at him angrily. "I'm not speaking to her!" I raced around, breaking the hard metal latches. Cats were streaming out of the building. I finally came to the last cage. It had a familiar red cat in it. They started sobbing. "Foxtail. Because of your stupidity, I was threatened to DEATH!!!" I shrieked. She started sobbing. "I'm so sorry I didn't listen to you! I wish I could live my life over again! I ruined yours! I should've dumped Greenfoot when I found he cheated on me. I would've found another cat. Then you'd be happy. I wouldn't be here, because the twolegs would've never found you." Foxtail cried. I looked at her. My gaze softened. "No, I'm thankful that you were trapped. It made me realize how horrible Greenfoot was. I was exiled. That allowed me to start a new life. I'm Neon now, by the way." I said softly. Foxtail stared at me. "Could we be the friends we used to be?" she asked. I stared at the sorrow in her eyes. I knew the same must be reflected in my own eyes. "Sure. Well, not AS good of friends, but you could live in the city here with me, and I could see you often!" I replied. I sprung the latch. Foxtail jumped out, and gave me one last look. "Thank you. I think I'll let ThunderClan know I'm alive, but I won't return there to live there. I'll come to live with you." she murmured. She hopped out the window, and I stood staring at the spot where she disappeared for a long time. I didn't even care that Frost and Wolf were staring at me. I felt like part of my heart had been missing that was now here again. Frost stood up. "Wolf, go with your mother." he said sternly. Wolf nodded, and raced out the window. Frost stared at me once he was gone. He padded up to me. "Um, Neon, I've wanted to ask you this for a long time. Will, will you be my mate?" he stuttered, looking embarrased. I gazed at him cheerfully. This whole day was the best one of my whole life. "Yes, of course I will!" I chirped. We brushed nuzzles. Then we looked into eachother's eyes. This was wonderful.
