you might need to click the flag x2, then use space chinese culture facts~ ~ why is there so much red in this project? well, in china red represents good fortune! ~ the chinese girl is wearing something called a qi pao (旗袍). it is a very common clothing in traditional chinese culture, and still worn for more formal events today! ~ the mooncake (chinese: 月饼) is a (very delicious!!) biscuit-like pastry that has a filling in the middle. it is usually coated in egg yolk to get a shiny look to the outside, and usually comes in a box with many different filling flavors when bought in an asian store. they are most commonly eaten during the mid autumn festival, usually referred to as 中秋节, held usually in september-october (the 2018 中秋节 will be september 24!) ~ the panda slide is to represent the national animal of china, the panda! (chinese: 熊猫) they are only native to china, though some are being borrowed to other countries such as the united states. ~ my username is based off of lychees, which originated from china! small note: i didn't really research any of this, it's all just common knowledge to me since my parents are from china and i researched it multiple times for culture projects in school, so if there's anything wrong please tell me!
