Their third/second pair of eyes allow them to view important events referring to their and other species that will happen later on in their life. They live in the town of Corburn, a small residence where the few Nocturnes live. Since they live such long lives (around a millennium or more), there aren't that many in life. Corburn is about 500 miles from Newmoor, but they travel between their town and the city regularly to help the Polys get up to the dome.
