Nyaris are like the felynes (NOT A TYPO) from the Monster Hunter series, but they don't have humans to coexist with, therefore no Palico-Nyari creatures. Pretty much the motivation for this random idea! But they are also quite different from them. Nyaris are sentient felines who live in a tribal/medieval hybrid society, utilizing a mix of medieval, tribal and magic tools. Their appearance wildly varies from the patterns, body shapes and colors but the main Nyaris resemble modern house cats... albeit more cute! They usually grow to an average of 4.1 ft so they're pretty smol creatures. The fur around the neck displays the overall quality of a Nyari. The larger the tuft is, the more battle capabilities they have. The sharper the tuft is, the more intellect and magic capabilities they have. The more pristine the tuft is, the more good genetics they have. The more fancy the tuft looks, the more significance they have. One can't tell EVERYTHING from the fur alone though, so try to know a Nyari better to best know what they really are. I'll do more concepts with the Nyari later - more on their society, history, subspecies and all of that. I might let others create their characters out of the Nyari... but not right now! They're still in development and I don't want people creating Nyaris that alienate WAY too far from what I interpret of them, so I'm holding that off until I think they're ready to become peoples' OCs.
