This is Chii. She is a character from a book that Shmoody and I are writing together. Note that she is not a real creature. She is a half-demon, or a "halfblood" as the mortals refer to them as. Basically, the mortals are anthros. They prefer to walk upright, unless it's necessary to walk on all fours. As humans do in reality, they can create anything and kill anything. They can't just snap their fingers, chant a line, then it magically does all the work, they have to go through the trouble of building and destroying everything by thinking and developing technology. Coming up with ideas. These are NOT furries. Shmoody and I don't go around cosplaying and....well.....you can look up what a "furry" is to a full extent. But we are most definitely not furries. Not that cosplaying makes someone bad, but....eh....if you're going to be a furry, don't be one to the full extent. Not appropriate, no.. Demons walk on all four legs. They never wear any clothes because they still look like your dog or cat. Regular animals. Demons come in many different shapes and sizes. They are given names based on what they look like the most. For example, you see a huge demon that has two scaly legs with three toes, a feathery body, and a beak, it's probably some type of bird demon. Demons usually have weird anatomy that doesn't quite make sense. They could have short front legs and small backlegs. They could also be like Inugami where they'd have this huge and bulky tail, but keeps balanced because the ears are very long. Half-demons. A cross between a mortal and a demon. These can walk either upright or on all fours, whatever they prefer. Clothing is optional. They don't quite grasp the idea of how exactly you wear clothes, they just know that it goes on your body. So if you see a half demon with a tie on his tail and a sock on his muzzle. Yep, that's normal. Some are able to use clothing...sorta. Take Speck for example: He wears a necklace. He knows it goes around his neck, but that's most likely because the name of the item is NECKlace. The anatomy of most half demons are more practical than demons, but not quite as practical as mortals. Half demons are the outcasts of the world. "Halfblooded scum" is a common nickname used by both mortals and demons to refer to the half demons. Demons and mortals usually know about each other, but don't really socialize with each other. Some demons are nicer and will help farmers out with harvesting and such in return for a night in a warm house with a fire going. Other demons are like regular animals and usually run when a mortal is spotted. Still, there are those few ones who attack and kill mortals just for sport, giving demons their bad name. Half demons only truley feel comfortable around other half demons, and they steal from farms and merchants sometimes. They don't all think that way, but since hunting is harder for them without all the animal traits, and the mortals have all the weapons and things needed to create weapons, they just have to wing it.
