Mepmetal! think of a borg cube. it can fire at any direction while in one position, right? that's because a borg cube's almost COVERED in disruptors. this is basically the same thing. it's chemical makeup combined with a radio or electrical signal causes an antimatter discharge, making itself practically a weaponized metal! and yes, like a borg cubes metal, it fires at all and any angle. and yes, that guy is wearing a protecive suit. since we had just mined it it was still toxic. but that wears off. and he's fine.
