(READ NOTES AND CREDITS BEFORE THE POEM) Everyone shuffles along Shuffling towards the shout of the gong Each footstep revertibrating the same song All except one who won’t get along With the gong And its song. The law has been jotted down Leave it, you’ll swim Take it, you’ll drown Now I look around Thinking with sudden whim My will is no longer bound Sounds and sights around me are all obsolete Disarranged recordings on repeat “Did you hear what happened last week?” One said, surrounded with mystique. “Yeah about that total creep?” The other says, looking meek. I stand out in this horrid crowd No longer hidden by a shroud I prance around feeling proud That my opinions have been avowed
^^ (Yes, I wrote this and it is my own original poem. Ahlife Beconds is just my officially chosen pseudonym, not my real name. Don't even bother asking to use the poem or remix this project. The answer is no. You can add the ORIGINAL project onto any studio though.) REASONING BEHIND THE POEM It makes me furious to know that our society is always playing an ongoing game of “Follow the Leader”. No one speaks out their own opinions nowadays because they feel as if they must be like everyone else. I’ve experienced and observed this so much, it’s almost an everyday routine. I used to be so anxious around other people because I had so many things to say about myself. I had so many opinions about scientific discoveries and books I’ve read and in the society I’ve grown up in, I was secretly the most nerdy and stupid person anyone could ever commune with. Luckily, it never occured to me to change myself to be just like everyone else, and I’ve now learn to embrace it.
