And somewhat time. Sure, some of the lyrics don't fit her character, but I felt like the rest of it was perfect. I chose "Want You Gone" for Aradia-Bot because, yet again, it's associated with life, death, robots, and somewhat time. In the song, GLaDOS sings about how much she disliked Chell, and how she used to want her dead, but she honestly just wants her to leave the ASCAEC. It pretty much sums up Aradia-Bot's feelings for Vriska. She used to want her dead, but as a robot, she only wanted her to leave her alone. Okay, no, "Love Song" doesn't fit perfectly with Aradia's character, but the tune, rhythm, and some of the lyrics fit her. I was originally gonna do "Stronger" by Kelly Clarkson, but only the chorus fits Aradia. Sara Bareilles wrote "Love Song" for her manager, who wanted her to write a love song, since most pop artists have at least ONE love song. She didn't want to, so she ended up writing a song about how she felt. The backstory of the song fits Aradia since she'd probably do that. If she were a songwriter, and her manager told her to write a love song, she'd probably feel the same way as Sara did. "Fireflies" feels like a good song for Tavros, since it's associated with winged bugs. Since Tavros is associated with fairies, which typically have bug-like wings, plus it gives me a little Tavros vibe, I thought it'd be good for him. The overall style of "Shut Eye" gives off a little western vibe, and since Equius is connected to horses, it kinda felt like a good theme song for him. The lyrics somewhat connect to him, too. For example "In the red, you're better off dead. Deader than the red-dead sea." reminded me of how he died. "The red" represents the room where Gamzee murders him. "Stronger" felt like a good song for Feferi since it's about relationships. She broke up with Eridan, and she felt a little more powerful than when she was his moirail. Gamzee sure isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, and he knows it, but he IS good at making something fun out of bad circumstances. When he's been drinking his Faygo and eating his pie, at least. He knows how to see a MoThEr TrUcKiN mIrAcLe in just about anything. Karkat has to say, he's VERY CLOSE TO BEATING THE GOG DANG PLANT MONSTER, but he's NOT DYING! He's NOT STOPPING! THIS IS HAPPENING! Yeah, Karkat's grump, and John's not-so-grump. You know, Karkat's always swearing and ranting about everything, and "Nothing You Can Do" was perfect for his personality. Sure, "Roar" isn't really fitting for Nepeta, except for the fact that she attacked Gamzee after he killed Equius, but since it's themed around animals, mainly felines, every time I hear it, I think of Nepeta. Sollux uses both sides of his brain. Neither of them are dominant to his personality. At first, Sollux seems like a laid-back, focused character. But as you get farther into the webcomic, you learn that he's a little unstable. He develops relationships with Aradia as a moirail, and with Feferi as a possible matesprite. It's like his left brain wants to gather data two 2ee iif 2he'2 a po22iible mate, while his right brain is emotional, and notices certain details. Eventually, it feels like both sides of his brain start to work together to create Sollux as a character. Kinda like Ruby and Sapphire, but less loving towards each other. Most people would say that "You're Gonna Go Far, Kid" fits John Egbert the most, but I feel like it fits Terezi. No, it doesn't have anything to do with dragons, red, taste, smell, court, or creamsickles, but it sums up her character development. She starts off simple, like she can't do much, since she's blind, but the proves to be a very important character, helping develop the plot and the other characters in major ways.
All characters belong to Andrew Hussie Art belongs to their rightful owners Music belongs to their rightful owners The first time I heard "Die in a Fire," I immediately thought "Woah, this song sounds like something Vriska would sing!" It sums up her feelings towards Aradia as a kismesis. The hate each other, at least until Aradia reaches God Tier, and Vriska caused one of Aradia's death. Yes, I said "one of". Aradia died, like, a bajillion times. Eridan used to be respected and powerful, but that all changes throughout Homestuck. Nothing can change the fact that he's a highblood, but he gains a bad reputation after he kills Sollux, Feferi, and Kanaya. "This is Halloween" fits sober Gamzee perfectly. It's about HalloweenTown, a town where all monsters live, and they celebrate Halloween just about everyday. It goes into the profiles of clowns, the monster under your bed, the person who lurks behind you in the dark hallways, and the monster under the stairs. They all reveal their town's celebrity, Jack Skellington, who Gamzee somewhat reminds me of. Kanaya isn't a selfish person, but "Cut the Cord" is connected to fashion, just like Kanaya. It's a song about revenge, and Kanaya is vengeful. When she comes back to life as a rainbow drinker, she kills Eridan, returning the favor of death.
