That's about it, unless you can think of a better backstory. Gameplay: Keep your eyes on his. When they go dull, shut the door. If you don't, you'll die. Active on night 4 onward, including the first night on hard. On hard, he'll be closer than usual, meaning you have less time to react. Another option is like FNaF 4's "Fun With Plushtrap" minigame: it would be called "Inversion Madness"(named after the fact that The Smiler is the world record holder for the most inversions on a rollercoaster.) where you would be in a dark room, and you have to fix a kiddie ride, but Smiler Wyvern is in the room as well, so if you see him, hide. How? You have the cloak of darkness, so turn off the flashlight. If you win, you get to skip some time in the next night. If you fail, you just won't get the extra boost.
