So I have reinstated the lighting engine effects by default. Let me know if you prefer this? I wish it could be smoother in appearance, but I can't do anything about that. I'm not sure they work well enough how I've done them, and i'm not sure I don't just want them to work like buttons yet. Save game locking stops players from using any cheats while playing (except the user who locked the map). The command parse means that you can now use commands like /time set 12345 and it will work.
