Description

Mario Paint is a classic Super NES game that was released at August 1st of 1992 in North America. The game was also bundled with a SNES mouse and mouse-pad. In Mario Paint, you can draw whatever you'd like using a variety of fifteen colors(because of the SNES' hardware limitations), and it also features a set of fancy tools much like Paint on Windows operating systems. Mario paint is basically an art tool on a SNES, but with more features than your average art program back in the day. This project right here, is a complete remake of the classic SNES title. Enjoy! Version History (2/28/2021 - Patch 5) This one was a tad rushed, sorry in advance ^^; -Added sound effects and BGM (will work a bit more later) -Merged the erase effects into the eraser button (just click the small arrow box to open the mini-menu) -Added a new fading erase effect (2/18/2021 - Patch 4.6) Some more minor adjustments -Fixed bug where the canvas could still be drawn on when in view mode (5/1/2019 - Patch 4) More minor adjustments -Merged all color selector sprites into one -Modified thumbnail (10/9/2018 - Patch 3.5) Some minor adjustments -Added new line eraser effect (starting to run out of room on the toolbars) (5/14/2018 - Patch 3) Dynamic Advantage Update -Added black border (viewing your masterpiece without the buttons on the user interface) -Modified canvas where it's more dynamic -Added more colors -Added eraser label on the color selection -Reorganized user interface (mainly to have more colors on the top) (5/7/2018 - Patch 2) Airing It Out Update -Added air brush -Added more colors -Added new rocket eraser effect (4/30/2018 - Patch 1) Officially Released Known Bugs: All known bugs are currently fixed! Comment below if you find any To Be Added: -Background Colors -Sound Effects and Music(Added, but still a WIP) -Gnat Attack Minigame -Stamps -Art Contests (Certain rewards may vary) -Some optimizations Feel free to request any ideas below. Disclaimer: This version won't have as many features as the original SNES version mainly because I have a few limits when it comes to using Scratch and whatnot. And if I were to add save codes, I'd have to make it where this game has hex data, or something like that. And using hex data may take up more memory for the project than needed. NEW SCRATCH 3.0 SCREENSHOT METHOD If you want to take a screenshot, simply right click the project and select "Save Image as...". It's highly recommended you turn on the black border first before you do this. Note: This method will not work on mobile, for mobile users, hold volume down and the power button simultaneously to take a screenshot. The screenshot method may vary depending on what device you're using. (Feel free to remix this project to add your own stamps once they're implemented into the project.)
