Mochis aren't rice cakes, at least in The Void-Land. Instead, they are a paracidic species that use how good the adults taste in order to trick children into eating them. They tastes so good that roasted Mochi is a popular treat, since nobody really feels bad about eating them. However, this particular guy is a heavily mutated Mochi. Moch (his name given by Chloe), tastes horrible. In edition, he is too gosh darn cute to eat! So Chloe Spyglass keeps him as a pet. he LOVES eating candy. Since Mochi spend most of their life eating honey (in order to become yummy), this is only natural. However, since he does not want to get eaten, he eats it just because he loves the flavor.
