Splashpool is a very shy creature who often can be seen hiding in bodies of water. It actually is made up of a jelly-like substance, with the only bones being in the body, head, and the base of the tail and legs. As such, he "melts" regularly. His mis-colored ear is the result of accidentally getting poisoned by some coral. He can't feel (or hear) anything in that ear.
