Ok, so let me tell you all something. I have HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE anxiety. In school, you can be FORCED to work with other people on assignments, simple assignments you could easily do on your own. I prefer to work alone. Though, if I refuse to work with a group, I’m given lunch detention for “non-compliance”. This means that if I want to prevent an anxiety attack, I’m sent to lunch detention. This is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous. It’s absolute bulls--- that a student is NOT ALOWED to work on projects alone. Why? Oh, the teachers don’t /want/ to print more. Well, I don’t /need/ a panic attack in the middle of school day! I think we, as students, should have the full right to say we want to work alone! For those with anxiety, group projects can be a complete and utter NIGHTMARE. Let me know in the comments YOUR ridiculous school stories, and PLEASE don’t lie to make yourself seem cooler. It doesn’t make you seem ANY cooler. At all.
