This is Edward, a boy who is not that optimistic about life. Even though he was adopted by a loving family, he feels distrust towards them, as well as everyone else. The reason for this is because his parents were murdered by people who despised magic. He saw them killed before his own eyes, which warranted him to flee to the next town over. The walking stick in his hands is all that is left of his father. In fact, it is the source of all of this young sorcerer's magic.
