Instructions

Green flag. Turbo mode (or not for 1 - 6). Press 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 for different patterns. You can stop a drawing anytime by pressing down arrow (this is recommended especially for nr 8 :). Nr 8 changes when you move the mouse on the stage. For this project I chose only Starr curves that seemed suitable for something like the Maurer roses. Some Starr curves look very different . . .

Description

I call these curves 'Starr curves' because mathematician Norton Starr came up with the idea of using this interesting family of curves for creating computer graphics: x(t) = ( 2 + 0.5 sin a t ) cos(t + (sin b t ) / c ) y(t) = ( 2 + 0.5 sin a t ) sin(t + (sin b t) / c ) See also http://mathworld.wolfram.com/StarrRose.html Huge thanks to @dapontes and @mathjp for your inspiring projects about Maurer roses - your codes are much more elegant!
