Name: Amelie Age: 4 human years Gender: Female Height: 17.5 feet [normal Pachy height] Sexuality: Hetero Relationship Status: Single Powers(if any): N/A Skills: Can withstand large blows to the head, very fast Negative Traits: Due to repeated head blows she is almost always dizzy Personality: Quirky, weird as heck, energetic, antisocial Disabilities(if any): Autism [mild] and social anxiety Backstory: Born in Hell Creek Nevada during the late Cretaceous period, Amelie grew up with a large herd of Pachycephalosaurs, she only had 4 years of life, due to the meteorite that wiped out the dinosaurs.
Positive Aspects I really like the use of almost all realistic colors, in this OC. I think that having the eyes be an unconventional/unrealistic coloration was very tasteful and I really like the originality in the design, while it still being something you can look at and think, “this is a dinosaur.” I also really like the concept of dinosaurs being able to get disorders like Autism and Social Anxiety. I think that for some OCs, a lengthy, detail oriented backstory is really key, but for Ameilie having a short-but-sweet story really felt wholesome. Another great aspect was that there is a lot with a little, meaning you took something simple like a regular dinosaur, fitted a few tasteful quirks in there, and made a cute, realistic, lovable character. Negative Aspects I think that, although I am still counting the simple backstory as a plus, I believe that simple doesn’t really mean detail-less. I think a few things that could be improved on would be the friend situation; did she have any friends, any crushes, who were her parents and what were they like? I feel like filling out backstory with some simple details like these would really make the character a lot better. Other than that, I really don’t see any negatives here. If I forced myself to find negatives, I’d say that her beak might look a bit nicer as a dark, desaturated brown. Other than that? Nothing.
