To boot the virtual desktop, press the Green flag. Windows 8 will begin to start up. When the lock screen is displayed, click anywhere to begin using Windows 8. The default password is 'win8user', but you may change this if you wish to. Then, the start screen is shown. Move the mouse over to the far right corner to show the charms bar. Click Start to show the start screen. Move the mouse away from the charms bar to hide it. Repeat the following anytime you want to show the start menu. Click on the Desktop tile on the start page to show the desktop. To return to the desktop, move the cursor over to the far right corner to show the charms bar. Click Start to show the start option.
