I'm proud to present to you... my second ever DIY tutorial! :D Since I made my first DIY tutorial on how to make an ice cream pen, I've had a lot of requests to make another tutorial like that. So I got to work and here is the result. I hope you enjoy making these! ♡ I'd like to note that this tutorial is based entirely off Nim C's DIY Mini Notebook tutorial on YouTube, and I did not come up with this idea. Like last time, I simply translated the instructions to animation form and recreated the art. I highly recommend checking out her YouTube for more tutorials like this, her channel is packed with heaps of videos on how to make cool DIYs. Here is the video I based the project off: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2bcMmTcqzE ♥,。・:~:・゚♡,。・:~:・゚ ♥,。・:~:・゚,。・:~:・゚♡,。・:~:・゚,。・:~:・゚           I N S T R U C T I O N S I N          W R I T T E N F O R M ☆彡 1) Measure two 3cm by 5cm rectangles of card of your choice, then cut them out. 2) Punch three holes down the side and make sure to space them equally. Repeat for the second rectangle. 3) Rule some rectangles down a sheet of A4 paper. These will be the pages. Make sure they fit evenly inside the covers and they’re all equal in size. Then cut them out. You can make as many or few pages as you want, but an A4 sheet should be enough. 4) Use a paperclip to seal the pages together. Use your hole puncher (or other method) and make the same three holes down the pages. Make sure they’re in the same place as the covers’ holes. 5) Get your three jump rings. Open them up one by one and slide them through the holes you made in the front cover, pages and back cover. You can now take off the paperclip and close the jump rings around the spine. 6) Now it’s time to decorate the notebooks! Feel free to use the designs in this project for inspiration. Use acrylic paint, card or anything you like to create your cover art. 7) This next step is optional, and that's why I didn't add it into the animation, but to make the notebooks even more cute and realistic, grab an elastic string and colour it according to your notebook’s colour. Use your fingers to spread the paint over the thread. Wait for it to dry. Next, make two more holes on the edge of the back cover and slip the elastic through. Make a knot and slide the elastic over the cover to make sure it’s going to fit. Then, slide the string through the second hole and tie a knot. 8) And there you have it! Your very own miniature, cute notebook! Love and favourite this project if you want more DIY tutorials like this.
