I was in a litter of three. I had a brother and a sister who were welcomed into the family warmly. When I was born my parents gasped in surprise. I was a DarkCat. A DarkCat is a cat marked with a symbol. Mine was a symbol of the moon. I was rejected by my family as soon as I was born. I found a new family or they found me. The wolves took me in when they saw me as a young kitten on the rock. I became like a wolf. If it wasn't for my feline looks I would have been mistaken for a wolf. I received a new name: Moon. I forgot my past. Then one night I woke up suddenly. I yawned and looked around I was in the night sky among the stars. "Where am I?" I asked myself quietly. I heard a quiet flapping like the sound of a sparrows' wings as the bird would leap into the air. "Wings? Why?" "Nightmare, I know you are confused but it is time for you to take up your duty in the night." said a quiet majestic voice. "Why?" I asked "Your mark" The voices last 2 words echoed over and over. I could tell the voice was gone. Since then I have soared the skies of the night, looking down on my past families. I promised myself that no matter if I must stay in the skies I will always be with my family.
