"Don't you get it, Elio?" Adrian growled. "The Sun World is impossible to get to. It's a children's old fairytale." "I have a feeling that it isn't just some old fairytale," Elio growled. "I'm willing to fly into the sun if I have to to get to the Sun World." "All those foolish adults who tried to prove its existence all died of exhaustion before they could even get into space," Adrian argued. "You're just a silly kitten." "You're as much of a kitten as I am," Elio snapped. "You all don't want to go just because you're scared. Everyone at school who teased me were scared the entire time! Scaredy-cats!" The orange tomcat sung. Adrian slashed at Elio's face, and he jumped back. "I'm only trying to keep you from THROWING YOUR DANG LIFE AWAY FOR NOTHING! You have a PERFECTLY FINE LIFE HERE, so WHY waste it on a fantasy world?! You're so irrational, Elio! Don't you want to live a long life here over dying out there, your life wasted?!" "At least if I die out there," Elio growled, his voice low, "I'll die knowing I did something brave with my life instead of cowering in fear back home." Elio padded off, angry, while Adrian watched with a blank expression. "You know what? Fine. Do it. Leave Alamia for your pwecious Sun World." Adrian hissed, his grey tabby tail lashing as he stalked off. Elio stared up at the sky, watching the shreds of sunset-pink clouds settle over the setting sun. /I'll show you all,/ Elio thought. /I'll show you. All the tomcats and mollies who teased me... everyone who doubted me... I'll find the Sun World. I'll get my three wishes.
