On Wednesday, February 14, 2018, evil met the souls of innocent students and teachers at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. A young man had a gun and opened fire, taking the lives of 17 people, and leaving many more injured, both physically and mentally. There have been far too many shootings, and it needs to be stopped. We must fight and be resilient. We must fight laws that tell people in our society that semi-automatic weapons, AR-15s and other weapons used solely for killing a large number of people is okay. That's why I made this MAP. This MAP doesn't just stand for the 17 precious lives that were taken on that horrifying Wednesday. It stands for the people whose innocence' have been lost, the people who were hurt emotionally and physically. Additionally, it stands for the need of gun control laws. Let's make it harder for people to get guns; let's do more extensive background tracks and make the requirements and training more difficult and rigorous.
