TO MAKE AN ISLAND, USE VECTOR MODE AND THE SQUARE TOOL OR LINE TOOL TO MAKE A SHAPE. THEN USE THE CURVE TOOL SO YOUR SHAPE IS NO PERFECT SHAPE, AND SO YOUR ISLAND LOOKS MORE REALISTIC. MAKE SURE ALL YOUR REMIXES HAVE THE MAP IN VECTOR. ALTHOUGH THE MAP LAGS FOR SOME USERS, YOU CANNOT EDIT THINGS ALREADY ADDED TO THE MAP IN BITMAP MODE, UNLIKE YOU CAN IN VECTOR MODE.
