I was recently touched personally by a friend who is struggling with depression so much to the point that she did some drastic things to try and relieve it. I realized again how much depression affects people everywhere, especially teens and young adults. So I decided to write an article on it (for my homeschool group's newsletter) to try and do anything I can to help. Please contribute in any way you feel comfortable--in the comments, in a project, etc. NOTE: Thank you all for all your input! I did write the article and you guys really helped me get a more genuine idea of what depression is like from your point of view. NOTE: If I mention God to you, please don't be offended, and if you are, just say so. The reason I mention God is because He is the best thing that can happen to someone with depression. He is the one who gave us each our original purpose for existing, he gives us hope for the future, and most of all he understands what you are going through infinitely more than I do or even than the best counselor in the world does.
