Happy April, everybody! (And happy 200 projects to Color! :D) Who else is loving the Scratch April Fool's stuff? You've gotta love a geeky programming site whose mascot is a cat. Meow! My favorite April Fool's joke of all time is one my dad and I did on a blog the family was keeping during our time in Norway a few years back. We were renting the apartment of another family who was out of the country for a few months. Here's what my dad posted on April 1, 2009: "We had a rather big surprise yesterday when we found out that the family whose apartment we are renting are returning to Norway much earlier – three months! – than they’d originally planned (something to do with a position at the University here). So, it appears we will have to share the apartment with their family of four until we can find another place to stay, which may be several weeks. We’re having a hard time figuring out how we’ll fit nine people into a three bedroom apartment, but, as they say, you can deal with almost anything if it’s temporary. Apparently the other family owns an Arctic-style tent, so we may have to put [Color] and [@minecraftian216--my brother] out on the balcony to sleep (they’re excited about that idea because now it means they’re almost sure to see the northern lights), but if it’s too cold for them we may have to use the tent in shifts. If that doesn’t work out, however, there’s also the possibility that we could stay in offices at the chemistry department on campus. The floor next to my desk would be spacious enough for the kids, and the emergency chemical showers could come in very handy." My grandparents were totally fooled :) And it's spring! Yaaaaaay! :D :D :D
