Coal sat on a rock, her tail curled around her. Her yellow eyes gleamed in the brightening night. It would become morning soon, and Neon hadn't come back just yet. What was taking him so long to come back from his nightly patrol? Coal's eyes shot to a bright light coming from the entrance. Purple. Coal growled, recognizing the light almost instantly. "Neon." She snarled. She leapt down from her perch and confronted him. "Why is my mate in his monster form and so late back to his pack? Y'know, the pack he rules alongside me?" Coal shoved her snout up in Neons face. He only smiled. "I scared off these two trespasser loners. Too weak to be any use to our pack." He responded, morphing back to his normal form. "Well, if they were such an easy kill, why are- were, you in your monster form?" She questioned, glaring at Neon. "You know it should only be used for capable enemies." Neon shrugged. "I wanted to intimidate them, I only killed her brother." "WHAT!?!?" Coal thundered, outraged. "You know that causes lifetime grudges, right? Don't you remember Dragon?" Her pupils were slits, showing her aggravation. "Calm down! Stop worrying so much. She clearly depended too much on her brother, I bet within tomorrow she'll be dead. I left her with some giant wounds, y'know." Neon reassured. This didn't settle with Coal though. "You are INSANE. Why are you the Alpha again?" She shot, tired of his nonsense. "Because, I'm the strongest." He replied simply, and walked away, ending the conversation. Coal snorted angrily and watched him walk away.
