UFOs are invading the Endless Metropolis! Unfortunately, the Superhero of the Endless Metropolis isn't in the area, so you'll have to fend them off yourself. Leap from building to building while firing at the aliens. Use [A] and [D] or [ < ] and [ > ] to move left and right. Use [W] or [ ^ ] to jump. Use the mouse to aim, and click to shoot. Press space to pause. Pausing brings up options to change the music and to adjust or mute the volume on music and sound effects. You can also press [M] at any time to mute everything. You start with fifteen HP. Avoid being struck by the aliens' bullets, falling off of a building, or getting caught by the auto-scroll, or you'll lose HP. The number in the upper left corner is your HP, and the number in the upper right corner is the number of aliens you have defeated. Aliens have 2 HP and blow up when they are defeated. Blowing up aliens can cause chain reactions! Since you've read this far, please let me know if you enjoyed playing my game! Also, let me know if you have any suggestions! Thanks!
All coding and graphics by me. The "Superhero" mentioned in the project Instructions is from a different (mostly unrelated) project of mine: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/153751804/ Credit to freesound.org, specifically the user LittleRobotSoundFactory, for the sound effects and music: https://freesound.org/people/LittleRobotSoundFactory/packs/16681/?page=1 https://freesound.org/people/LittleRobotSoundFactory/sounds/323873/ https://freesound.org/people/LittleRobotSoundFactory/sounds/323861/ https://freesound.org/people/LittleRobotSoundFactory/sounds/323846/ https://freesound.org/people/LittleRobotSoundFactory/sounds/323954/ Update 19 February 2018: Tried to fix a glitch reported by @CardboardBoxE240. It's mostly fixed, but now the game is a bit laggier on jumps and it does still occasionally occur. It's a lot better, though. Also, a few quick cosmetic changes, and you don't auto-double-jump if you hold the up key, you have to release the key and then press up a second time. Update 4 February 2018: Fixed a few small bugs and added 9 new buildings (including a few mirrors of previously-existing buildings)! Shared 29 January 2018.
