well hello again lol we had a short break before the second semester so i got some time to draaw yey the only issue: i drew late at night and you know what happens when i draw late at night? blue skin happens. lol the thing with that was that i tried to draw some girl from some stock photo that was really pretty and boi i could not do that at //all// like honey i'm going to try again but man that was highly disheartening and just bleh and i think imma try traditionally next time but yeah all in all it was kinda like "i can't do this why am i even trying ugh" so i decided to do another one of the doodly headshots where i don't really start out with an idea in mind but just kinda experiment until i have something i like. this helps me get out of funks because i don't have any expectations to meet, so i'm not disappointed in myself when i don't meet the nonexistent expectations >w< the only danger is that i just resort to my comfort zone every time i try something new. it's a subtle balance between improving and falling into the abyss that is art block. i just got out of it so i'm not looking into going back in! anyrate press on my fellow scratchers and artists there are hard times and there are easy times, and sometimes the hard times are so hard and so long that you forget about the good ones, or maybe hard times are all that you've known. but every time has a purpose, one that can only be found by sticking it out. so if you are experiencing easy times, don't take it for granted. and if you're in the midst of hard times, never give up. don't let those times take everything from you; maintain hold of your courage, regardless of how many times it has been thrown away. *cough* wooops got deep wade through the oceans, my friends i guess this is what happens when i write descriptions late at night too
