Her mother died during birth and her father during battle. II Backstory: Sandpaw was born in Airclan without her Mother or Father. She spent most of her time with the other queens who cared for her as she grew. When Sandpaw grew older, She had never learned to fly. Due to this, She was laughed at by other Cloud-Bodied cats who looked down on her. Sandpaw began spending time with the Medicine Cat after becoming an Apprentice.
