This is a drawing of my species I created, the Merp, in it's homeland, a roofed forest. It's name comes from me and my dad always saying "Merp" to each other.
Merp Species Info: Name: Merp Life Span: 150-300 years Weight (Adults): 1 pound-4 pounds Length (Adults): 18 in.-20 in. Width (Adults): 1 ft. Wingspan (Adults): 9 in. Weight (Kits): 1/2 pounds-2 pounds Length (Kits): 12 in.-17 in. Width (Kits): 3/4 ft. Wingspan: (Kits): 1/2 in. Brief Description: Merps are orange-furred (If British, brown) creatures with a grey (if British, white) chest, tail, pair of small horns, talons, and pair of feathered wings. They have a long scorpion tail that makes up most of their length, and bird-like legs with two black stripes on all. Merps have dark purple-slit eyes. Their ears are very fox-like in size. Behavior: Merps are very mischievous animals, and a little bit hostile to humans, but can be domesticated and trained. They are full of energy, and at all times (Unless asleep) need to be moving. Abilities/Adaptations: They have long, fluffy, thick fur that slightly pales during the winter months. Other seasons, though, they have thin fur, and at especially spring, is bright and vivid. Their tails have enough poison to kill a full-sized hedgehog, so not very much. Although, their talons can slice through wood as if butter. The purple eyes they posses allow them to have excellent sight, and night vision. Merp's wings are just big enough to let them fly as they please, but can not survive at very high altitudes. Species amount: 2. The American Merp, and the British Merp. Endangerment Level: Very Low.
