Description

Welcome to Minesweeper. This logic game used to be popular when computers first became widespread but now, not many people know what it is. Full screen recommended. Turbo mode not. Music is Dance of the Violins by F-777. Hit M to toggle. How to use this program: Sliders change gameplay. Hover over them to show the current grid size. Smiley face restarts current game setting Back arrow brings you to the title The numbers on the left are how many flags you have left The numbers on the right is how much time you have taken on the current level How to play Minesweeper: If this is your very first time playing, I would suggest that you leave the sliders as they are. I set them to a good starting position. Once you click play, you will see a grid. Under some of the spaces are mines. You start by clicking random spaces and see what is under them. If a number tile comes up, the number on the tile tells you how many of the eight spaces around that tile are mines. If you know that there is a mine somewhere, hover your mouse over the tile and hit space and a flag will appear on the tile. If you click on a tile that is a mine, you lose and every space on the grid will show what is under it. You win the game by uncovering every space on the grid but you only have the same amount of flags as mines, so you can't just place flags everywhere. I made the ones and twos colorful because I thought they were boring. Please comment any questions/recommendations you have or any glitches you find! My records for a max-size grid: 5 mines: 0:02 10 mines: 0:06 15 mines: 0:10 20 mines: 0:15 25 mines: 0:17 30 mines: 0:25 35 mines: 0:30 40 mines: 0:36 45 mines: 0:45 50 mines: 0:49 55 mines: 1:03 60 mines: 1:13 65 mines: 1:20 70 mines: 1:28 75 mines: 1:37 80 mines: 1:37 85 mines: 2:09 90 mines: 2:11 95 mines: 3:29 - beaten only twice 100 mines: 3:53 - beaten only once
