Eventually, Gregor agrees to be involved in their wars and embarks on a mission that will change both him and the Underland forever. One of Suzanne Collins' lesser-known series, but in my opinion, even better than The Hunger Games :) It's just so meaningful, original, and teaches many important lessons. If age was based on experience, I'd say that the main characters, Gregor would be 70 years old by the end of the series :) Also, it made me feel empathy for roaches and rats. Although this is a children's book, it's bittersweet at the end and delves into "adult" themes (such as war and death). For people around 12 years old
