In a search of a better way to animate my sprite's lip-syncing in Scratch, I decided to go back to the traditional animation style. If you choose to download this, you will see that under the Mouth sprite, their is a hidden chart which displays how the mouth looks when different vowels, consanants, and blends are spoken. This is a standard chart used in most traditional, or frame-by-frame animation that I feel is the most efficient way to animate lip-syncing. --------------------------------------- Feel free to remix and add your own phrase for 'Mouth' to say (I will warn you, the timing is very tedious), make sure to use the chart. If you don't feel like taking on the challenge, that's okay. Just comment on what you want Mouth to say (it has to be appropriate). I will be updating this project every day. --------------------------------------- I feel these simple pictures of what the mouth looks like when we make different sounds could become something that could help everyone, especially people like me who had no idea how to lip sync.
