The second of two of differentiated games to help children with number sense and calculation up to 20. Click on the green flag to start and follow the on screen instructions: Click dice to roll a number. Once rolled type the number in the answer box that you would need to add to your rolled number to make 20. The dice in this game a customised in that you can only roll a maximum of 10. This is to help children with number bonds up to 10 and avoid confusion. A second game will be made for number bonds up to 20.
Inspiration came from the board game 'Shut the box' and originally I was going to replicate a version in scratch. This first attempt moved away from the game (for simplicity) and evolved into a simple dice game. The idea for the dice came by searching 'Dice Games' in scratch where I found the game 'Pig - A Dice Game' by Paddle2See. I did not copy his code just the idea for the dice costumes (hence my rolling dice animation is very rudimentary (His rolling dice are much more professional). My dice costumes were hand drawn by me :-)
