I had a dream, in which I could fly. Well, it wasn't really flying. More like falling up. Slipping. Not flying. Slipping away, losing yourself to the sky. In my dream, the higher up I "slipped," the faster I went. The more I accelerated, the harder it was to come back down. To stop slipping away. To return to the ground. One day, and even though I wasn't supposed to, I let myself go. Just to try it out. As I slipped higher and higher, I saw the landscape and everything on it get smaller and smaller. After a few seconds, I decided I should stop, and come back down. But I couldn't. I was falling up, faster and faster and faster. Wind whistled past me as I grasped at the tiny houses, far, far below, but to no avail. I was now going so fast I could barely breathe. I waved my arms frantically. Nothing. Just wind. Wind. Suddenly, I felt fingers graze my shoulder. Disoriented, I slowly turned around in the air. I felt a firm hand grip my arm. Back. Pulled back. I was pulled back from the brink. ...
