All credits to Tolu18944. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is something that's been floating around my unshared projects for around 3 years now - Sonic Pyramid Panic V2.8. This is the last known version of Sonic Pyramid Panic created by Tolu18944, before I would take my hiatus from Scratch (and eventual departure). I had remixed this project to make some edits, but I never did (at least to my memory). After Tolu left both Scratch and YouTube without a trace, all his projects on both sites disappeared. Alongside the projects on my page, this is all that's left (to my knowledge) of Tolu's passion project. There was always a lot to clean up involving the coding and level design of each stage, but this project was always more about the fun we had creating it. I remember seeing the original and it was kind of messy, so I looked into developing a new 2D scroll engine, as I had a little bit of experience developing and programming Sonic games. The result was this project: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/90620945/ , which I then implemented into the Sonic Pyramid Panic game. It was certainly not perfect, but it was good enough where Tolu let me help out, and then started a collab project. As time progressed, my engine would change a lot, as I added homing attacks, boost, stomp, and Tolu would change up multiple graphical and musical aspects. I would later create the two new stages, Frosty Endeavor and Tropical Trouble, and that was as far as the project got before I left. Thanks for everything Tolu - I had a lot of fun creating this engine and improving my coding skills, all while helping you make this game.
