Select your car in the garage. Upshift by pressing space. Follow the shift lights in your tachometer. As soon as you see the red light, shift! Your car won't accelerate at redline, so time it right to shift on time, but not too early, because then you will decelerate from dropping too many RPMs. A correctly timed shift will allow your car to accelerate faster.
