Fun facts: Vairea has two meanings- "sparkling" and "joyful water"- which I thought suited Tamatoa. She has a pet hermit crab named Jewel, and she painted the shell. She actually KNEW that would make the crab die of heat, and did that without qualms. Personality: Vairea is snide, nonchalant, and supercilious, and has a twisted, teasing, cheeky and sassy sense of humor. She is very ambitous but also flamboyant and conceited. She is extremely confident and proud. However, she is extremely intense with no boundaries and no qualms about mocking someone's dead loved one, or exposing someone's deepest insecurities, for the sake of her amusement. Above all she is intense, witty, confident, and the definition of a sociopath. Alliances: Due to her ties to the ocean, she's in Uma's crew. Like them, she hates the social reputation the villains have and yearns for more power and status. Goals: Vairea has a lot of goals- like I said before, she's very ambitious. She wants to go to Auradon to gain more power and a higher status, be more than a "bottom feeder." In the book "Rise of the Isle of the Lost," she will do anything to get her hands on the trident. She badly wants Fairy Godmother's wand, and the status Mal currently has in Auradon. As a pirate, she will also do anything at all, with no limits, to get her hands on any kind of treasure. Hobbies: Pillaging and plundering, stealing, searching for treasure Crush: Harry Hook, for his intensity, confidence, and unpredictability. Friends: She and Uma are frenemies but are joined by a common goal, in a "the enemy of your enemy is my friend" sort of way. However, each one frequently competes with the other. Tamara thoroughly believes she is superior and the best and will do anything to prove it. She likes Gil for his humor and the ego that his father passes onto him. Enemies: Uma, but only to an extent, as they look out for each other in the end. She is against Mal solely because she believes Mal's search to find herself to be pointless.
