Else tends to be a perfectionist, sensitive, overemotional, and easily stressed or anxious. Her magic manifests when she's upset or angry. From the outside, Else looks poised, regal and reserved, but she lives in anxiety. In the end, Else goes from being this perfect princess that had tried to keep her personality down to saying, 'Whatever. I'm gonna be me.'"
Her arc is very similar to Mal's in D2, with Else being forced to be this perfect girl and play the part of the ruler, and using magic as a crutch even though she isn't supposed to. Else runs away out of pressure, where she can find herself. Her friends come back for her, but Else tells them to leave and that it's only a matter of time before she does something messed up. She is extremely anxious and insecure and struggles with keeping up her facade, but in the end, like Mal, she opens herself up to love and learns to be who she really is.
