If this happens, press the green flag again. Once you defeat Kirby, Pikachu may appear on the top right corner of the screen, if so, press the green flag again until he is on the stage, OR, if you're good enough, you have to double jump near him, then shoot a fireball while still in the air, when Pikachu is not shielded.
