This is my character Maya. She is an alien ship captain, though she is the lowest ranked in her job. She strives to be the best captain, and win the empress's heart ~ ^u^ The song is so good!! I tried drawing a partial weave in her hair, but complicated hair is hard to draw! (duh) ^_^ She's actually a cyborg, but I thought that was too complicated for this animation, so maybe this is her before she became one. She also has a very tomboyish personality, but she thinks if she dresses fashionably and does elaborate things to her hair that she will impress the empress. And y'all should know that looks aren't everything, but Maya just hasn't seem to have caught on to the whole notion yet. I was thinking that on this alien planet that being gay is not a crime, contrary to the belief of so many closed minded people on this planet, but I their love would be looked down upon, because of the divide between them, Maya being a low ranked soldier, and the empress being royalty, so not everything is happy and dandy. Ah if only people stopped caring about who loves who, but alas, there is no escape. I have this friend that I'm kind of annoyed with, because she is super into BL (boys love) stories, but poses no interest in GL (girls love) saying that GL are gross and uninteresting, and she only likes BL because there are twice as many cute guys to swoon over. I have a "secret" theory that she is hating on GL because she is trying to hide her gayness (lol it's not that secret if I'm posting it online) but I could just be totally imagining things.
