Ash is non-binary and pansexual, and they're crying because they're trying to keep a long distance relationship secret from their parents. They really want to come out, but Ash's parents are homophobic. The only thing they can do is wait for their lover to come home. Ash has loved them for a thousand years, they'll love them for a thousand more. Heart beats fast Colors and promises How to be brave How can I love when I'm afraid to fall "Heart beats fast" means Ash's heart is beating fast because they're trying so hard to come out to their family. "Colors and promises" mean they promised to their lover that they're always going to be there, despite the LGBTQ+ colors. "How to be brave" means that Ash is scared to come out, they need support to tell their parents. "How can I love when I'm afraid to fall" means they're scared to love because if their parents found out, they'd be abused and shunned.
