This is for a school project. At school, we were assigned one of the 13 colonies to study, and me and my friend Onn were assigned Virginia. We created this rap about the history of Virginia. Enjoy. We're gonna rap you thru the history today So sit on back and open up your ears Cuz we'll start this rap right now right here! 1607 is the year we start In Jamestown, Virginia's soul and heart Jamestown may'a had the dirty water, We kinda failed, but that no bother! We took more land and the V. got bigger And with that we got a lot less grave diggers! A couple more decades and we were strong We decided our rights as well as our wrongs I grew the tobacco and got more P. (pounds) We had increased life expectancy! We were colony number 1 of 13 On our way to Independency So come to Virginia, the Mother of States, That is the End of the Virginia Rap! What? It doesn't have to rhyme at the end. ...Does it?
