Print out this image on a sheet paper and wire up the MaKey MaKey to use a homemade controller for tsulej's "Fractal flame explorer - v0.9 (79 vars)!" In case controls change in tsulej's project, this works with the latest compatibility fork: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/17894643/ Controls listed are for v0.9 of tsulej's project: R = New flame SPACE = Same flame S = Stop render C = Color V = Variations P = Coefficients & Parameters A = Show Z = Hide H = Help This requires remapping some keys by reprogramming the MaKey with an altered settings.h sketch in Arduino IDE. Some operating systems are much easier to reprogram the MaKey MaKey with. Try using conductive ink or paint to create your own artwork for each triangle. You can also use foil and experiment with other ways to turn the triangles into buttons. After printing, reprogramming, and making each triangle INDEPENDENTLY conductive (don't actually touch triangles together!), wire each triangle to the MaKey MaKey. Use the reference chart to wire each triangle to the correct pin on the MaKey. Ground yourself to the MaKey MaKey somehow (holding a wire, wearing a conductive bracelet, etc.) Test it out at tsulej's original project (link is below) and see if everything works! If strange things happen, you might have it wired wrong. You might also have triangles that touch. Enjoy!
This is a different type of remix. All the original assets have been stripped entirely, and this is a complimentary image to be printed off for use with the MaKey MaKey and tsulej's original project. This project is a unique controller for the original project by tsulej. Image is CC-BY-SA 4.0 smalltortoise. Thanks to MIT, Scratch, and MaKey MaKey!
