She was a loner, she lived and fended for herself. She had just stopped for a rest near a bush, but apparently she had rested on the edge of Geode Pack territory. She clenched her teeth and blinked back tears, remembering what had just happened a few nights before. She closed her eyes as she had a flashback to that terrible night. All of a sudden her pelt was mattled with blood, and pain stung everywhere on her body. Her blurred vision made out a figure, her brother, and another figure on top of him. As her sight cleared, she saw the other figure, claws, stained with blood, slice her brothers throat open. "No!" Sedge screamed. Tears ran down her cheek, mingling with the blood that was pouring from a wound above her eye. She blinked, reverting back to reality. She was crying, despite her efforts of trying to prevent the salty water from pouring out of her eyes. She couldn't hold it in anymore, her grief. She let the sadness take over her, and she started to howl. She howled, beautiful and loud, a song in honor of her brother. She heard other wolves nearby starting to howl with her, understanding her grief. Soon all the wolves of the forest started singing with her. Her brother watched and listened from the heavens, a single tear dropping. "I love you" He whispered.
