Today I celebrate 4 years on Scratch! Hurray! ^.^ In honor of this, I thought it would be fun to create a small project using characters and items from a variety of the projects I've shared throughout my time on Scratch :D I would also like to take a moment to give a huge thank you to you, the Scratch Community, for continuing to be the most incredible, creative, supportive, funny, thoughtful, welcoming, and kind community I've ever had the privilege to be a part of. You are my very favorite part of the last four years <3 *hugs* ceebee
Fun Fact: The flying sprites were pulled from 35+ different Scratch projects I have made during my four years on Scratch :) How many can you recognize? Another Fun Fact: When I first used clones to create the flying sprites, I had the clones chose a random costume by using the "pick random" block. I did this because I wanted the characters to appear in a random order as they flew across the screen. But I noticed that sometimes the same costume would appear multiple times in a row or a certain costume would take a really long time to get chosen. And I wasn't really happy with this. So I decided to create a randomized list for the clones to pull from. Doing so made me realize I don't use lists very often and I had no idea what I was doing lol I definitely overcomplicated the process for myself (lol) but it was really fun to do regardless! And I learned a lot while doing so. I think I'll keep playing with this concept and perhaps I'll find a more efficient way of doing this in the future :P If you have suggestions, feel free to let me know. Or, better yet, remix it and show me! ^.^ Take a look inside to see what I ended up doing, I've left a comment on the stack of blocks that I used to create the random list :) - - - - - - - - - - - - - Music: April Showers by ProleteR Thumbnail Artwork: Created in Illustrator Other Artwork in project: Created between Illustrator and SVE over the course of my time on Scratch - - - - - - - - - - - - - *boop* ;) =^..^=
