Made in Blender 2.79. At last, Blender 2.79 came out! I installed it this afternoon and threw this together in, at most, 20 minutes. Aside from the background and the sun lamp, the only material node that I used to make the entire thing is the new Principled shader. I've gotta tell you, it's amazing how much stuff you can do with this. The most work I put into it was messing with the settings and adding the brick texture to the floor. The rendering is super-fast now, too. I rendered this at 128 samples and it looked kind of...meh, until the denoising kicked in. Wow! I was watching as it rendered (it only took 48 seconds!), and saw when it started denoising the floor, or more specifically, the rough reflection of the monkey, and the quality of the image just increased so much that you'd swear I used like ten times the samples. I don't think I'm really conveying how awesome this is. If you haven't already, go get Blender 2.79 and start messing around in it. I can't even image the quality of stuff I'll make once I look at some real tutorials!
